Last time on The Medium

Marianne said goodbye to Jack, dressing him in his favourite tie and clip. After she had finished getting jack ready she heard a disturbance upstairs. Upon exploring she has an Medium experience, Jack is sitting at his desk looking for a notepad. After a emotional conversation Marianne pours a drink and then phone rings.
A mysterious voice claims to know all about Marianne and begs for her help, reluctant she tries to hang up the phone. When Thomas, the voice on the phone call says a haunting sentence.

It all starts with a dead girl.

This grabs Marianne's attention and Thomas asks her to visit the Niwa Workers resort. We Join Marianne on her journey from the security gate to the Niwa Hotel.

Get through the gate

On the wall to the right hand side of the gate is a map of the Niwa Resort and Landscape. Next check the gate, Marianne will discover that the front gate is locked up tight. Enter the small security office on the left, In the center of the room near the window there is a briefcase, below it you will find the first postcard Niwa Says Hello from 'F'. Leave the security office. Enter the small security office on the left, there is a small boarded up window near the back of the room. Marianne can see through it to see a stranger walking near an old car. Leave the security office.Walk between the security office and the low wall, and go down the couple of steps. There is a dumpster against the wall that Marianne can use to climb over.

Make your way deeper into the resort

Head upto the road There is a map dead ahead of Marianne that she can interact with, follow the small road around to the right until you get to the the crumbled edge. Drop down from the road and take Marianne's left to drop down into the forest. At the fork in the path take the left route to find a memorial to World War II. Return to the fork in the path. Take the fork to the right. A ball will roll towards Marianne, that will disappear as she looks away. Prompting you to activate Insight, with Insight active you will see a child's footprints, follow the footprints deeper into the forest. The path will loop around to the left keep following it ensuring to keep Insight active. The is a tree on the right after the curve that has a carving in it 'T + K 1968' The path will eventually take a but of a right turn leading Marianne up a couple of small steps, bringing her to a small fort.

Take the small steps down to the Fort, turning right and head to the wire gate. The is a small sign next to the gate Warning! Due to the recently unearthed remains, renovation works have been suspended pending archaeological examination. Use the open gateway to enter the small fort and squeeze through the tight gap in the rocks.
Marianne will have another Medium moment and experience the split spirit world. Walk away from the camera further into the fort, climbing up to the right as you reach the end. The gate ahead of you will be locked, so take the path to the left and follow it around. There is a huge hole in the floor with a small walkway on the right that you shimmy down. Interact with the energy well in the spirit world to absorb the energy, then head back towards the gate.
Using spirit blast in this way will unlock the Conduit achievement.

The game will prompt you to charge a Spirit Blast and then release on the fuse box, this will unlock the spirit world gate allowing you to open it. If you explore the path to the right of the gate, you'll find Someone New. Go through the gate that you have just unlock to leave the fort, Marianne will snap out of her spirit world experience. Climb the 3 stairs and follow the walkway around to the right. Keep climbing the hill and the walkway will end turning back to a dirt path. There is a small sign at the top of the steps CAUTION! Fire Hazard. Proceed further up the dirt path where it will split near a fallen tree. Explore to the right and you'll find a dead dear. Return to the fallen tree. Take the path to the left and continue until you reach another split this time with a bench on the corner. If you follow the path to the right, you'll come across a monument with a toy monkey sitting inside it. Keep following the path to the left until you get to another fallen tree, crawl underneath it and you'll have full view of the Niwa Workers Resort. Marianne will have a quick flash into the Spirit world sensing the power of the resort.
As you get close to the Niwa another wave of power will fall over Marianne

Get inside the hotel

Answering the phone in front of the hotel not only give you an echo but also unlocks the Caught the Scent AchievementAnswering the phone also unlocks the Left Behind achievement

As you approach the hotel you will hear a ringing noise and see a pay phone in front of the building. Use Insight on the hand set and you will unlock the first echo of the game. Walk up the steps to the hotel, and try the main entrance. Marianne will have a look through the glass door and find that they are locked. The camera will then rotate to the right hinting at another entrance, go and inspect the door it focuses on and Marianne will see a dumpster behind a door with a missing handle. As you walk away you will hear a child's giggle. As you approach the main door again you can look up to the balcony, noting a broken window. Retrace you steps back down the stairs at the front of the hotel. As you reach the bottom of the steps follow the car park to the right, at the end you'll find a chalk drawing on the floor of a child's hop scotch. Return to the bottom of the steps of the Niwa.

Follow the car park to the left, If you stay quite close to the front of the Niwa, as the car park branches to the left you will see a green arrow on the floor in front of a placard. This gives you a bit of history about the Niwa Resort. Continue you journey further down the car park, Until you reach a run down old red car. Take a look inside, On the seat you will find the next postcard, Honest Work Pull the lever to lift the bonnet of the car and then take a look under the bonnet. Marianne will find a Screwdriver and then hear the car horn sound. If you check back in the car you will find 'No one here'. Exit the car and walk away from the car in the way that it is facing. Take the couple of steps down and then turn left. On the first bench you will find a 'Broad Horizons' Magaizine. Return to the entrance of the Niwa Hotel and use the Screwdriver on the door without a handle. Drag the dumpster outside to beneath the canopy, then climb on top of the dumpster and up to the canopy. Marianne will then crawl through the broken window and into the Niwa.
